Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar technologies this website uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Last updated:

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how GMRC (Global Mobility & Residency Concierge) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

We keep the use of cookies to a minimum. This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics, and it does not track you across other websites.

2. Your IP address

Every device connected to the internet has an IP address, a number assigned by your internet service provider. When you visit this website, your device sends its IP address so that our server knows where to return the pages you request.

Our hosting provider records IP addresses in short-term server logs, together with the page requested and the time of the request. When you submit a form, we also store your IP address with the enquiry. We use this information only to deliver the website, keep it secure, prevent spam and abuse, and investigate technical problems. We do not use it to identify you personally or to build a profile of your browsing.

3. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit it. They allow the site to recognise your device during a visit or on later visits, for example to keep a form secure or to remember a setting you chose.

Cookies set by the website you are visiting are "first-party" cookies. Cookies set by another organisation, such as a translation service, are "third-party" cookies. "Session" cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while "persistent" cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

4. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to work and cannot be switched off in our systems. They keep your session and protect our consultation, contact and guide-download forms against cross-site request forgery and other abuse. They do not store any information that identifies you, such as your name or email address.

Functional cookies

These cookies remember choices you make. On this website, a functional cookie is set only if you switch a page into another language with the language selector, so that the site can show pages in your chosen language.

Performance and targeting cookies

We do not use performance (analytics) cookies or targeting (advertising) cookies. If we decide to introduce them in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

5. Third-party services

Some features of this website rely on services provided by other organisations. When your browser loads them, those providers receive your IP address and standard browser information, and they may set their own cookies under their own policies:

  • Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our consultation, contact and callback forms from spam and automated abuse. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and browser information and may set a cookie, under Google's own privacy policy and terms;
  • Google Translate, which translates some pages when you choose a language other than English;
  • content delivery networks (code.jquery.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net) that serve standard JavaScript libraries used by our forms;
  • WhatsApp, Google Maps, LinkedIn and X, but only when you click a link to them.

We do not control these providers' cookies. Please refer to their privacy and cookie policies for more information.

6. How to manage and delete cookies

Most web browsers let you see, block and delete cookies through their settings. You can find instructions in the help pages of your browser:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari: Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website, in particular the consultation and contact forms, will not work. Blocking the language cookie means pages will be shown in their default language.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

8. Contact us
